The rare criss-cross tidal bores appeared in Qiantang River on Friday

The rare criss-cross tidal bores appeared in Qiantang River on Friday. It was the 17th day of the eighth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, known as the best day of watching Qiantang tidal bores. More than 110,000 tourists gathered at the Haining Yanguan tide resort in China's eastern Zhejiang Province to see the two tidal bores with two different directions intersected like a butterfly.  (Photo credit: ZJOL, Chinanews, and CCTV)
